Gwen Simpson, CCA - Certified Chiropractic Assistant
Gwen has been on my staff since January 2000 when she relocated to Raleigh from New Jersey. She started by handling all the duties at the front desk and now I couldn't get through the day without her. She assists me with examinations, x-rays, adjunctive therapy and anything else you can think of! By the way, she is also my mother in law!!
Gwen says, "When I joined the staff of Atlas Chiropractic of Raleigh, I knew very little about chiropractic. I continue to learn on a daily basis why chiropractic is imperative to one's complete sense of well being. It is so rewarding to be able to help patients who feared traditional chiropractic by introducing them to our gentle techniques and watch their progress as they embrace the chiropractic lifestyle.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am fortunate to have two of my three grown children living here in Raleigh, as well as three beautiful grandsons. I love to take long walks several times a week and try to practice Tai Chi on a daily basis."
Kristy Cole, Front Desk
Kristy has been with Atlas Chiropractic of Raleigh since July 2006. She does a great job keeping things running smoothly at the front desk. She really enjoys greeting and interacting with people in our office and always has a smile waiting for you!
Kristy says, "This is absolutely my second home and family! I have been married to Willie for over 30 years and we have two grown sons. We moved here from Indiana in 1998 and I just love living here. I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my family. Someday, if Dr. John lets me, when I retire from Atlas Chiropractic, we plan to stay here in North Carolina."
Michelle Karlson, Insurance & Billing
Michelle joined us in June 2005 and she has kept us straight (no pun intended) ever since. I don't know where I'd be without her handling the ever changing dynamics of the insurance world. She is a great advocate for all of our patients who have to deal with insurance or billing issues.
Michelle says, "I am very grateful to Dr. John for giving me the opportunity to get back into the work force after taking 10 years off to be a stay at home mom to my two children. It has been wonderful being able work part time and still be available when my growing children need me. Not having any previous chiropractic experience or have never had an adjustment, I am now frequently amazed by the benefits of chiropractic care.
When I am not in the office, I am better known as mom, wife, taxi driver, school teacher, football coach, nurse; need I say more. Coming to the office is like a vacation for me. All kidding aside, I love my family in the office almost as much as my family at home.
